On February 2, 2008, Amedeo Minghi celebrated his career of 40 years in music with a concert held at the "Auditorium Conciliazione", under the auspices of the city of Rome. The event, entitled "“40 anni di me con voi - Cuori di pace in Medio Oriente” (40 years of me - Peaceful hearts in the Middle East) expressed effectively Amedeo's long lasting active concern and care for peace in the Holy Land. The concert hall was filled with spectators from different parts of Italy and also from abroad. Many illustrious guests participated in the event, including artists that have collaborated with Amedeo throughout the years. He sang "La marcia di Oronzo" with Lino Banfi, and "Vattene Amore" with Mietta. He performed in a duet with with Rossana Casale, interpreter of "Mio Nemico" in Fantaghiro'. He also performed with several other artists. Amedeo Minghi's concert took his audience on an emotional journey highlighted by the major hits of his long and prolific career, including the song dedicated to Pope John Paul II.
According to an article written by Filippo Alosi (member of Amedeo Minghi's cultural association "PRIMULA") for the newspaper "CORRIERE DI SICILIA", the audience's emotions intensified when Amedeo sung "Gerusalemme" with singers Gabriel Orit, from Israel, and Hakeem Abu Jaleela, from Palestine. Their voices and native languages added a magical touch to the performance, thus intensifying the inherent profound meaning of this contemplative song. Amedeo Minghi's dream to sing "Gerusalemme" with an Israeli and a Palestinian artist has finally been realized. His hard work and many efforts to this endeavor have been rewarded. Another great accomplishment and reason for celebration!

Following are a few significant comments by Amedeo regarding this outstanding album.
("Sentimentally speaking, this is an autobiographical album because it shows the many ways to love and to be loved that I have been able to experience. Each piece is connected to the one that follows. It is as if it were the story of my love life, and there could not be one piece without the other. This album is the mirror of my love life, and it was created "on me" in every sense of the expression. For example, in the CD booklet containing the texts of all the songs, the songs are written "on me". The fact that all the texts surround my picture means that these words, that is, the words of the songs, are literally on me. It was not simply a graphical choice, but a symbolic one. We chose to anticipate the release of the album, as we usually do, with the song "Il Suono". We chose this song, not because it is the best one, but because in our opinion [mine, Pasquale's (author of the written texts), and Emi's (Amedeo's recording company)], it is the most appropriate song for the introduction since it is the one that best conveys the main theme of the album."
"Questo è il disco che più esprime spontaneità, più che altri album. Pensi che ho impiegato un giorno a scrivere tutte le musiche. Un giorno e trent'anni , dico io. Ci sono voluti 30 anni per comprendermi e per arrivare a realizzare 'Su di me', le musiche le avevo già in testa e in poco tempo le ho scritte".
("This is the album that expresses more spontaneity than any of my other albums. It took me only one day to compose the music. One day plus thirty years. It took me thirty years to understand myself and to arrive to the realization of "Su di me". The music was already in my head, I was therefore able to write it in a very short time.")

" To enter into this new record is to glide into a different listening dimension. The listener will immediately have the impression of undertaking a journey that is both familiar and new. It is like looking at oneself in the mirror and discover new expressions....
It is difficult to adequately describe the beauty and intensity of all the songs. The music is superb, and Amedeo is present with much energy in the singing, the very original arrangements and the masterful balancing of all elements including the most advanced technologies...Enjoy the listening! "
AMEDEO MINGHI has dedicated his new album to Giuseppe Garibaldi's wife, ANITA, who fought at her husband's side with unconditional love and heroic bravery for the unification of Italy.
Why Anita? "Anita is the embodiment of passionate love," explained Amedeo. "She lived a long time ago, and yet, she is very modern. She beheaved in an extraordinary fashion, always ready to do anything for her love of Giuseppe".
Amedeo believes that the story of Anita and Giuseppe Garibaldi might be the greatest Italian love story ever told. Anita was born in Brazil in 1821. In 1839, at the age of eighteen, she met Giuseppe who, at that time, was helping people in the province of Rio Grande to gain independence from the Brazilian Empire. It was love at first sight. From then on, Anita never left her husband's side. She fought with him and suffered with him. Her overwhelming and unselfish love for him ultimately brought her to her early and tragic death. She died in Italy in 1849. She was only 28 years old.
"Anita's death was a choice", stated Amedeo. "Anita's passion was total, and I fell in love with this person; but, most of all, I fell in love with her because she is real. I believe that she is the only woman to whom Italy, in its long history, has dedicated a monument. I don't believe there are others. Anita is "love". She is the embodiment of unconditional, unrestrained, passionate love".
AMEDEO MINGHI IN MOSCOW - On October 21st 2004, Amedeo Minghi went to Moscow to represent Italy in a Song Festival held at the Kremlin. He performed on two consecutive nights and sang "COSI SEI TU" in a duet, half in Italian and half in Russian, with a very famous singer. It is expected that this special performance of Amedeo's song will be published in Russia.
